Stage Dreams is a national music competition designed for high school students in Uganda. It aims to identify, nurture, and celebrate young musical talent while promoting music education and cultural diversity.
Any high school student enrolled in a recognized school in Uganda is eligible to participate.

When a Student comes in 1st, 2nd or 3rd, They walk away with a cash prize, including their Parents, School and Teacher.

It provides a platform for young, emerging musicians to showcase their talent, gain recognition, and develop skills. It also promotes music education and celebrates Uganda’s rich cultural heritage.
- Duration: 90 seconds.
- Must be recorded in a single take with no editing or special effects.
- Performances should not include background music or autotuning.
- Participants must wear their school uniform during the performance.
By submitting, you grant Stage Dreams the right to use your video for promotional purposes.
- You video audition will be evaluated by a panel of Judges
A panel of Judges will evaluate your video audition,
- Those who do not make it through will be informed via Sms or email or Whatsapp.
- Those that make it through will also be informed and invited for the Quarter Finals to perform infront of Judges, here the number of participants moving on to the Semi finals will be vigorously cut down.
Yes, group performances are allowed, all from the same school. (NB: you will be counted as one Participate)
Video Auditions:
- Participants submit their audition videos following the specified guidelines.
- Judges review the videos, and those who meet the criteria are selected to advance.
Judge Cuts (Closed Auditions):
- Selected participants from the Video Auditions are invited for closed auditions in front of judges.
- These auditions are recorded and will be aired on TV, but they will not be broadcast live.
- Judges evaluate performances and choose contestants to advance to the next stage, while others are put up for audience voting.
Quarterfinals (Pre-Recorded Shows):
- Performances are recorded and will be aired on TV but not live.
- Judges and audience votes determine which contestants advance to the semifinals.
Semifinals (Live Shows):
- Contestants perform live.
- Judges, audience votes, and live audience participation determine the finalists.
- Public voting for the winner begins immediately after the semifinals.
Finals (Live Show):
- Finalists perform in the grand finale.
- Public voting continues during the final stage and closes just before the announcement of the winner.
- The winner is determined exclusively through public votes and announced at the end of the Finals.
Judges evaluate performances based on talent, creativity, and quality. Audience voting also plays a role in determining who advances.
Schools must endorse participants and assign a teacher to guide and support them throughout the competition.
