Participant Guidelines

    • All decisions by the judges and organizers are final and binding.

      🔊 Recording Quality is Key

      • Ensure the sound is clear and audible — recorded in a quiet, non-disruptive environment.
      • Ensure performers are clearly visible and well-lit in the video.
      • Each participant or group is allowed only ONE submission.

      ✅ Eligibility Criteria

      Student Status

      • Participants must be enrolled in a recognized high school in Uganda.

      Group Participation

      • Groups are allowed (duets, choirs, bands).
      • All members must be from the same school.

      Uniform Requirement

      • Performers must wear official school uniform in their video.

      🎥 Submission Guidelines

      Audition Video Rules

      • Duration: Max 90 seconds. Videos longer than this will be disqualified.
      • Recording: Must be done in one take — no editing, no special effects, no background music, and no autotune.
      • Visibility: Performers must be clearly visible.
      • Content: Should be family-friendly — no profanity, violence, or explicit content.
      • Song Choice: Original music or covers allowed.
      • Professional Status: Participants must not hold professional recording or publishing contracts.

      Submission Channels

      🏫 School Involvement

      • A music teacher or appointed staff must guide and assist students during preparation.
      • This teacher is responsible for the students throughout the competition stages.

      📜 General Rules & Conduct

      Professionalism & Discipline

      • All participants must maintain respectful behavior at all times.
      • Any form of bullying, harassment, or misconduct will result in disqualification.

      Health & Safety

      • Students are responsible for their personal safety during recordings and live events.
      • Participants must follow all safety guidelines issued by the organizers.

      Legal & Media Consent

      • All entries must comply with copyright and intellectual property laws.
      • By submitting a video, participants grant the organizers the right to use the footage for promotional purposes.
      • No additional compensation will be given for media use.

      Liability Waiver

      • Organizers are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage during the course of the competition.

      Disqualification

      • Any breach of the rules, including cheating or manipulating votes, will lead to immediate disqualification.
